is based in Písek, Czech Republic. He graduated from the School of Arts and Crafts in Písek, where he developed a foundation in traditional artistic techniques and figurative modelling.

His work focuses on portraits, busts and memorial plaques depicting historical and cultural figures, artists, writers, scientists and other personalities whose lives continue to resonate in the present.

He works primarily with tin-and-lead alloys, combining classical figurative modelling with a casting process that allows the material to retain its own character. The resulting surfaces may include irregularities, craters, scars and traces of oxidation, which become part of the visual language of each sculpture.

In addition to his independent studio practice, Jiří Mašek accepts commissions for portraits and memorial works intended for public spaces, institutions, private collections and places of historical significance.
